During my recent stay at Casa Del Sonder, nestled on the vibrant border of Bo-Kaap and De Waterkant, I sought a serene retreat after my intricate adventures in wildlife conservation across Kenya. The hotel provides an inviting atmosphere, bolstered by its charming interiors, which encourage relaxation and contemplation. The rooftop swimming pool offered a refreshing escape and a delightful view of Table Mountain, enhancing the overall experience. One morning, I savored a made-to-order breakfast, enjoying the tranquility while immersed in the picturesque landscape. The attentive, multilingual staff ensured that my needs were met, accommodating my travel schedule with ease. While the rhythmic calls from the adjoining mosque may disrupt tranquil slumbers for some, I found it reminiscent of my travels in Istanbul. The outdoor sun terrace was a pleasant spot for relaxation between excursions, and the cozy coffee shop downstairs added a local flavor. If you’re looking for a boutique escape while exploring the captivating city of Cape Town, Casa Del Sonder effectively blends rustic charm with functional amenities. It’s an experience worth considering, offering a touch of calm amidst the city's vibrancy.
